Specialize in business accounting and is an expert at ensuring that the financial records of the bank comply with financial regulations, laws, and policies. Need to be able to prepare financial documents, present annual audits, prepare monthly budgets, monitor expenditures, and manage the cash flow of a company. Utilize skills in implementing new US GAAP standards, unraveling intricate accounting issues, and collaborating with talented teams. Essential Functions

• Vital part of assisting the Bank with FDICA compliance for the upcoming audit

• Establishes and maintains internal controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

• Document processes by applying narratives, process maps, and flowcharts; and perform analysis of process documentation to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of a processes

• Compile and implement the annual audit plan.

Assists in preparing quarterly and annual reports filed with the SEC.

• Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.

• Oversee risk-based operational and financial processes.

• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely audit information is reported to Management and or Risk Committees.

• Manage and supports risk assessments of Bank processes, including in the evaluation of risks impacting the Bank

• Manage and lead the execution of audit activities showcasing strong project management and resource planning and a successful track record of people management and team development

• Manages and effectively leads/ coaches and supervises team to execute on the assurance plan and activities (audits/continuous monitoring/ closure verification and continuous auditing) to provide a point of view on the control of the Banks risk

• Identify and assess areas of critical and high risks, including evaluating n significant process.

• Develops clear messaging of risks and controls in audit deliverables to the Banks stakeholder, including Senior Management & Committees/ Regulators/ and Audit Committee

• Leads audits evaluation of Bank management’s implementation of remediation actions/plans regarding audit and regulatory findings, strengthening the Banks internal controls.

• Perform other tasks as identified by the direct supervisor.

• Must have recent relevant financial institution experience.

• Must communicate well with all levels of employees, including senior management.

• Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.

• Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints as well as have the ability to make effective decisions.

• Must be able to communicate and work well with others.

• Accurate typing skills; basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business from an accredited institution required

• CPA preferred or aspiring to be CPA or CIA

• 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry required.

• Previous working experience as Internal Auditor or Bank Accounting

• Experience in financial services and has gone through various audit cycles.
