Business Intelligence Analyst – Lead (EMR – EPIC)
Location – Orlando, FL
Duration: Full Time
Job Description:
We are seeking a BI Lead to be responsible for data analytics and additional support tasks like performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting/data visualizations as well as information dissemination. In addition structure, the strategic design of business intelligence applications and identify technical problems to resolve them.
At least you need to have these skills and proven knowledge:
✓ Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and clinical informatics. (NOT QUALIFIED IF NO EXPERIENCE WITH MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY!)
✓ Knowledge of project and information management.
✓ Analytical ability required to gather data, perform the transformation, perform complexanalysis, solve both business and technical problems.
✓ Expert proficiency with business intelligence techniques & tools for the acquisition and transformation of raw data into meaningful and useful information for business and analysis purposes.
✓ Knowledge of relational databases and EMR data structures, SQL, Tableau, Power BI.
✓ Advanced ability to problem-solve creatively and analyze processes and systems.
✓ Must possess written and verbal communication skills necessary to gather and exchange data (both internally and externally) with members of the health care team.
✓ Ability to independently assess which data management and statistical strategies are needed to optimally report outcomes.
✓ Write SQL queries for data manipulation, sorting, summarizing, and reporting
✓ Reviews analyze and modify programming systems including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs
✓ Use knowledge of the specific data available, forecasting/analysis methods and visualization capabilities to enhance requirements and provide insightful suggestions to business stakeholders
✓Uses standard macros/code to comply with department standards
✓ Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
✓ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required to work with a diverse group of people.
✓ Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly switch between priorities/tasks.
✓ Ability to interact with all levels of staff and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
✓ Strong critical thinking skills and ability to apply them in various situations. Ability and willingness to mentor colleagues and share experiences to strengthen the team’s success.
Qualifications:
✓ Bachelors degree required, field of Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Healthcare, or equivalent preferred.
✓ Must be willing to obtain EDW internal certification required within 6 months.
✓ Min. 4 – 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare, consulting services, regulatory services, information technology or software development, including a minimum of 3 years of data analytic experience.
✓ Report and follow-up on software problems resulting in delay in workflow.
✓ Expert proficiency with word processing, Tableau, SQL, and the internet.
✓ Completes mandatory Epic and other software or analytic tool training
